Nashville-based, queer indie pop/rock artist is on a mission: to explore love, truth and vulnerability through her music - and also, maybe dance a little bit. She's returned for the summer with her new single “Oversharing”! Stacked with crunchy electric guitars, an über-hooky chorus melody and punchy live drums, it’s as if “Celebrity Skin” by Hole had a baby with Garbage and Olivia Rodrigo. It’s a slight departure from daena’s earlier synth pop sound, but her signature tongue-in-cheek pop lyrics and a fun vocal full of attitude + grit thread it all together.

daena’s next singles are set to release later this summer and fall, leading up to her debut full-length record in early 2023.

daena’s songs have been placed on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” and “Night Pop” editorial playlists, and featured on iHeart Radio, Nashville’s Lightning 100 and more. Her single "Close Isn't Enough" has organically amassed over 790k on Spotify, and she's racked up over 26k TikTok followers to boot.

As a queer woman, daena hopes to be a role model for other young people in the community. “It’s important to help normalize all queer relationships and identities,” daena says. “I hope that my music can encourage listeners to be true to who they are - and proud of it - no matter where they are in their journey of self-discovery and love”.

"daena speaks stories into her songs, and it’s made us more empathetic listeners.

And better dancers."
